Youth Music Contest

Contestants must be in grades 9 – 12. They may enter their composition or their solo vocal, keyboard,
or instrumental performance in the contest. Contestants should download the links to Rules and
Application and prepare an entry with a private YouTube Channel. Clubs should set a deadline of no later
than March 12 for students to submit entries for Club level contests. All entries for District level contest
should be submitted by Clubs to the District Music Contest Chair after they have held their club level
contest, and no later than March 22.

Each Club selects a POC to download the links below, share flyer with local schools’ music departments,
actively promote the contest, and organize a team of judges to select their winners.

Club first-place winners advance to the District contest; or, in the event of an excess of applicants,
applicants will undergo an intermediate judging. First, second and third place winners of the District
Finals will receive cash awards: $1000 for first place, $500 for second and $250 for third.
