Langley HS Senior Ethics Day – Talk to the Future

Date: March 20, 2025 – 8am-2:30pm
Location: 1800 Reston Row Plaza (detailed map and parking instructions will be sent once you sign up)
This is a GREAT volunteer opportunity that will leave you optimistic for our future. Come spend time with Langley High School seniors as they grapple with ethical decision-making scenarios in preparation for their future as high school graduates! We are looking for table leaders (no preparation necessary!) to help facilitate conversation when the presenters’ present questions for them to discuss amongst themselves.
WHAT IS ETHICS DAY? Students experience several ethical dilemma modules where the “right” answer isn’t clear, including a mock trial, artificial intelligence & ethics, and ethics in medicine. The seniors discuss pros and cons in small groups with adult volunteers who keep the conversation going and focused. The purpose is to equip teens with decision-making tools they can use throughout their lives when confronting ethical dilemmas.
PLEASE SHARE THIS OPPORTUNITY: We would love to include a diverse set of responsible adults who can add value to the seniors’ experience. Sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0F4BA5A62FA0FD0-55002192-lhssenior#/
