Fun Shoot and Poker Draw

Rotarians Cal Ewing and Joan McGregor suited up and hit the range, volunteering alongside TRIAD volunteers at the Orange County VA Sheriff’s Office TRIAD’s 2nd Annual Fun Shoot & Poker Draw! Their big smiles and friendly camaraderie showed that Rotarians are truly People of Action, dedicated to hands-on service and community engagement. They are committed to TRIAD’s mission of keeping our senior community safe and secure. The event was filled with lively competition, a poker draw, and camaraderie—all in the name of supporting a great cause!

Orange County, VA Sheriff’s Office TRIAD program works tirelessly to provide free resources, programs, and support systems that empower seniors to live safer, healthier lives. TRIAD’s initiatives cover a wide range of services. Its Senior Buddy program ensures weekly wellness calls for seniors who live alone, while its community workshops offer essential education on fraud prevention, home security, personal safety, and emergency preparedness.

Additionally, TRIAD brings senior-centered resources directly to the community at their annual conference, where older adults can learn from experts, connect with peers, and access a wealth of information about local services and support networks. All proceeds from the Fun Shoot & Poker Draw are directed to initiatives like these, allowing TRIAD to maintain and expand its offerings and ensure Orange County seniors have reliable, no-cost access to valuable safety equipment, workshops, and wellness programs.

Thanks to events like this with the support of devoted volunteers and participants, TRIAD can continue its vital work, enhancing the quality of life for seniors across the county and promoting a safe, supportive environment for Orange Counties older population.
